was born in Anderson, South Carolina. As soon as he was born, his mom and dad put the ball in his hands and he hasn’t put it down since.
As a kid, Freeze played at Parks, the Rec and the YMCA which helped him develop his skills even more. Freeze was already ahead of his time as a kid so he would always play with the adults and that made him tougher, also helped better his IQ and made his game even more mature than the kids his age.
In Middle School, Freeze moved to Easley with his dad and transferred from McCants Middle School to Gettys Middle School where he led his team averaging 33pts a game his 8th grade season.
After his 8th grade year, that summer, Freeze moved to Washington D.C. where he was planning on going to DeMatha High School for his high school season. During that summer in D.C. Freeze got a chance to play in Pro Am at Georgetown with NBA Legend Steve Francis against other NBA and college players. Players like Brenden Haywood, Roy Hibbert, Patrick Ewing Jr., and Ty Lawson just to name a few. At the time Freeze was only 14. His first game was against Brenden Haywood’s team, at the time he was the Center for the Washington Wizards. THE John Thompson (Georgetown’s head coach) was at the game sitting behind the scores table watching. With only a few possessions into the game, Freeze made a nice crossover move and crossed his defender and got in the lane made an And 1 floater over Brenden Haywood! After Freeze made his free throw, the coach called a time out to take him out of the game. His dad walked over to the bench to tell him John Thompson wants to speak with him so Freeze went over and sat with Coach Thompson for the rest of the game and Freeze earned some new shoes and his first SCHOLARSHIP!
Georgetown was Freeze’s dream school because of Allen Iverson
Freeze decided not to go to DeMatha High School and went back home to Easley High School where he won All-Region and All-State as a freshman and All-State as a Sophmore. Freeze then transferred to Wheeler High School in Marietta, Georgia where he received even more high major and mid major Division I scholarships. His Junior year they made it to the state championship game where they loss to Norcross High School by 3 who had Al-Farouq Aminu (NBA) at the time. His Senior year they beat Milton High School to win the state championship game. Freeze was one of the best players in the country in high school.
After high school, Freeze went to Evelyn Mack Academy Prep school, then to Prince Avenue Prep School where he averaged 35pts a game and even had a couple of 50 point games.
After Prep School, Freeze decided to go to Delaware State University (MEAC) and played his Freshman and Sophomore seasons. His Freshman year he earned Freshman of the Year. After his Sophomore season, Freeze entered the 2013 NBA Draft where he for a chance to workout with the New York Knicks and the Washington Wizards. Sadly he went undrafted but was drafted in the NBA DLeague (NBA GLeague) by the Brooklyn Nets affiliate, Springfield Armor.
After Freeze got injured in the DLeague, he was released from the roster then he went on to play professionally overseas. He played in China, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Lebanon.
In 2019, Freeze decided he was done playing the game but decided to stick around the game and give back. Which brought him to the creation of Freeze Hoops Academy where he gets to teach and help the younger generation with their skills, goals and aspirations and also teaching them the game of Life.
